It was a blast playing for New Wave City. The main room was Live-Aid inspired new wave (it was the 20th anniversary), and the side room featured the DJs from Popscene. The upstairs room was all lounge music, and I made an effort to keep it all swanky. I spun from 9:30 - 11, and again from Midnight to 1, switching off with DJ Kirk, who kept the vibe going. The two versions of Night and Day, played back to back, was particularly successful, and got some applause. I was also thrilled to play a track from Edmundo Ros - I had actually found that particular record at the radio station at the summer camp I used to go to back in the late 80's - I used to play that track on the radio then, and this was my first time seeing people really dance to it.
